Nvidia quietly launches RTX 3080 GPU with 12 GB of VRAM

Nvidia have quietly launched the RTX 3080 12 GB GPU across board partners (Thanks, The Verge). Pricing details for the new card is not available right now but the rumored specs for the GPU are confirmed. The RTX 3080 12 GB draws an additional 30W of power compared to the 10 GB version. Users should opt for a power supply with 800W support to be safe. With an increased cuda core count of 8960 and a wider 384-bit memory bus, performance should land between the RTX 3080 10 GB and RTX 3080 Ti. Additionally, public drivers are not out yet for the new card but should be out this week. Reviews for the RTX 3080 12 GB GPU are blocked at the moment according to Hardware Unboxed.
