Square Enix announced that multiple features are in the works for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier on iOS and Android! This includes a high frame rate patch, improved character movement and ranked match adjustments. The patch allows players with capable devices to play at a consistent 60 fps. According to producer Shoichi Ichikawa, some of the improvements may come by the end of December this year. Additionally, Tetsuya Nomura chimes in and announces that a Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier live stream is coming in January. This live stream will showcase the adjustments being made to the game while announcing new information as well. Players should look forward to that early into the new year. The full letter from the developers is available here.
