The Devil May Cry anime is looking to impress fans as Castlevania producer Adi Shankar is at the helm! According to a recent interview with IGN, Shankar says that the series’ season 1 script is complete and says he “couldn’t be more excited”. The first season of the Netflix anime includes 8 episodes. The series’ story will be told over multiple seasons just like Castlevania, confirming the appearance of Vergil and Lady. Of course, Shankar states that Dante will be the main star and its been “a dream” of his to work on the franchise. Shankar is also working directly with veteran Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi who worked on the original game and anime. Capcom also fully supports the new anime.
“Kobayashi has been wonderful. It’s seriously a joy to work with Capcom. Their character library is unlike anything assembled.”
