Intel Arc gaming GPUs support super sampling technology titled XeSS, custom overclocking controls and more

Recently, Intel Vice President Roger Chandler shared some new tidbits about Intel Arc. Arc is the latest lineup of GPUs made for gaming and high performance. The new lineup supports Xe (Xe Super Sampling) which will allow players to gain extra performance at high resolutions. This is very similar technology to Nvidia’s DLSS but games don’t need to be programmed with the tech in mind. This means that all games can support XeSS with capable software. Intel states that they plan to release XeSS as open source software.

Another interesting tidbit provided by Chandler is overclocking support through drivers. Intel Arc will have a toolset for players and enthusiasts alike to push their new hardware to the limit. With drivers, people will have overclocking controls right from the get go. Additionally, Intel is developing capture and encoding software for Arc. This software will give players tools to personalize how they capture video and images for streaming content while gaming. Overall, it’s a very promising to see quite a feature set in development for Intel Arc.

Intel Arc gaming GPUs are planned to release in early 2022. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest gaming news and updates!
