Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda shared some thoughts about the Dragon Quest franchise in the latest issue of Famitsu. In the issue, he states that Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is being developed while “taking into account the next 10 to 20 years of the series”. The game will help shape and influence the series going forward while remaining consistent with the traditions of Dragon Quest. New elements will be introduced to innovate the franchise as well.
