Shinji Hashimoto announced during FFXIV Fan Festival 2021 that he’s no longer the Final Fantasy brand manager at Square Enix. Hashimoto will still remain at the company for future plans and projects but Kitase will take his role. Kitase’s tenure at Square Enix is a very historic one starting with Final Fantasy V all the way to Final Fantasy VII Remake. In addition, Kitase is producer on the upcoming second part of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Ever Crisis. We hope the best for Hashimoto’s next journey at Square Enix!
