Earlier today, SEGA expressed their goal to globally expand Atlus games with worldwide simultaneous releases. Shin Megami Tensei V is among one of those titles that is supposed to release worldwide on the same day. SEGA general manager Shuji Utsumi desires to prioritize localization of these games from Atlus, specifically the Persona series. Here’s what he had to say about Persona:

“Persona is a wonderful brand with many fans both in Japan and overseas. Sega would like to support Persona even more.”

With the 25th Anniversary of Persona approaching this year, it would be a good time to get ahead of these plans and re-release the fan favorite RPGs. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and support us on Patreon!
