As of April 1st in Japan, Square Enix merges their Visual Works Division and Image Arts Division to form a new studio! The Image Studio Division takes the talent of both studios into one integral studio at Square Enix. Image Studio is based in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo, Japan. This new division includes staff who worked on Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV and high-end visual expression technology. Their main functions at Square Enix will be:
- High-end production
- In-game real-time cutscene production
- Planning and production of media content
- Sound and music direction/production
- Vocal/music recording and more
