Ask PlayStation JP announced that warranty extensions for the PS Vita will no longer be accepted starting on March 31st. These warranties cover the PS Vita itself along with its included accessories like the battery, USB cable and charger. Players with a Vita can only register an extended warranty within the initial warranty period before the cutoff date. However, production for the PS Vita ended in March 2019. It seems like Sony is preparing to close out support for the Vita entirely as rumors surface of the PSN store shutdown.
