Kadokawa Corporation trademarked Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown in Japan as of today! This could be a new title for a game as trademarks like these are held by Kadokawa while Bandai Namco develops/publishes the games. Many of the products and services labeled with the trademark fall under “downloadable games”, “home consoles” and more labels to suggest this could be a new game.
