    Arc System Works details Guilty Gear Strive’s offline modes including Arcade, Mission and Survival

    Arc System Works released new details about Guilty Gear Strive! The new information focuses on offline modes except Story Mode and Gallery Mode (news coming at a later date). Check it out below courtesy of Gematsu:

    Make your way through a series of matches as you enjoy each character’s story in this mode. The story branches off depending on your performance in the matches. When you find yourself in a real pinch, another character shows up to fight at your side! Play again as the same character to enjoy a variety of conversations, depending on the route you take. As you improve at the game, the world of Guilty Gear: Strive opens up for you!

    Mission

    This mode is for players who want to learn the basics of fighting games, as well as the different combos of each character and the game’s specific systems. Take on prepared missions one-by-one and learn techniques you can utilize later in actual battles. Clearing each mission will earn you proficiency points, which will unlock step-by-step presentations such as “Reviewing What You Learned in COM Battles” and “Challenging Online Battles.” These can be used as guides to play the game’s various modes.

    Fight one match after another versus the CPU with a limited pool of health in this mode. See how far you can get with your current skills. Try your luck against the extra powerful opponents who show up after a certain number of wins. After you experience the joy of overcoming your own limits, you’ll be winning before you know it! You will recover a limited amount of health after each win, and at fixed stages encounter a difficult opponent that can unleash countless powerful skills. Aim for the top in the online rankings.

    Practice for any situation in this mode. This mode has command lists with videos and explanations for beginners who may not understand how to operate each character, as well as a wealth of customization features such as “recordings” and “automatic counter-attack settings” for advanced players. The series’ popular “combo recipe save functionality” also returns, which allows you to save the combo techniques you practice.

    In addition to playing side-by-side against friends, you can also play against the CPU, whose strength and character you can determine.
