Previously, it was rumored that Sharp would become a supply partner for Nintendo’s Switch production. In a new report by Bloomberg, it’s now confirmed to be the case! Sharp is teaming up with Nintendo for Switch production along with acting as a safeguard between US and China trade. Switch units will be made in Malaysia thanks to Sharp, alongside the already existing China and Vietnam production facilities. Although the pandemic is still ongoing, Switch sales have been stronger than ever. With more supply, Nintendo expects a strong Q4 of the current fiscal year (ends March 31st). The Switch is on track to surpass 100 million units in due time.
