It looks like Codemasters is up for sale as Take-Two is looking to acquire them. The two companies are in talks currently over a possible sale. Here’s what Take-Two had to say to VGC over the deal:

“The combination of Take-Two and Codemasters would bring together two world-class interactive entertainment portfolios, with a highly complementary fit between 2K and Codemasters in the racing genre.”

It added: “Take-Two believes that it can bring benefits to Codemasters performance by leveraging Take-Two global distribution and 2K’s core operating expertise in publishing, including, live operations, analytics, product development, and brand and performance marketing.”

Codemasters is known for their Dirt and F1 racing games and Take-Two could soon have them under their umbrella. In the meantime, stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest gaming news and updates!
