The PS5 includes a 825 GB custom SSD which is found on-board. This is a vastly different solution compared to previous consoles but console players are finally getting the benefits of SSDs. However, a large chunk of that internal storage is used by the system itself. Out of the box, players have access to roughly 667 GB of usable storage. That should be enough for some games but Sony should definitely work on rolling out support for the NVMe slot sooner than later.
