By Saturday, the movie achieves a new record with over a million admissions in Japan. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is estimated to surpass the previous record holder for the highest-grossing weekend opener in Japan since 2003, The Matrix Reloaded (2.2 billion yen or $20.8 million). Additionally, the movie is looking to surpass Dragon Ball Super: Broly’s lifetime box office sales in a single weekend. These are insane numbers for an anime film!
