Final Fantasy XVI has been given a provisional PEGI 18 rating, meaning a mature rating for the game. PEGI 18 is defined as “The adult classification is applied when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes a depiction of gross violence, apparently motiveless killing, or violence towards defenceless characters.” by PEGI.
