Xbox users will soon be able to console stream via WiFi or an LTE/5G connection on the Xbox app with its next big update on iOS, which is also available now on Android.
Console streaming, different from xCloud, will allow you to remotely turn on/off your Xbox console to access and play your games. If it’s anything like the xCloud beta, it will also allow you to play whichever game is in your disc tray as well.
In addition to console streaming, you’ll also be able to quickly download or share game clips and screenshots captured on an Xbox One or Xbox Series X / S console, and you can even manage console space and delete games.
Here’s a demonstration tweeted out by senior editor over at The Verge Tom Warren:

Microsoft is currently testing this Xbox app with TestFlight members, meaning it should be available generally in the App Store soon for everyone to download.
