Yakuza fans might be in for a surprise soon according to Sega Nama MC, Ayana Tsubaki! She teases “the latest work in the series” will be announced during the special TGS 2020 Sega Nama show. Here’s her tweet:

The show will feature SEGA CCO and Ryu Ga Gotoku studio director Toshihiro Nagoshi. The special edition of Sega Nama from TGS 2020 begins at 7:00 AM EST on September 27th. The SEGA TGS 2020 Day 3 stream link is available below and begins on September 26th at 10:15 PM EST:
*Update* GamesTalk confirms that a new Yakuza game will be announced based on Tsubaki’s statement!
*Update #2* Apparently, Tsubaki may have misunderstood that there will be new Yakuza information instead of a new title. A new game is possible but she does not know.
