The latest Atlus Persona Studio job listing implies the use of Unreal Engine 4 in development for a new project

Recently, Atlus has promoted the hiring of a Assistant Technical Artist for part-time work. This may not seem significant at first until diving deeper into requirements for the position. The job listing is from Atlus’ Persona Studio (P-Studio) and requires interest in Unreal Engine 4 development. For Atlus, Shin Megami Tensei V’s development marks the first use of Unreal Engine 4 in the company. Here are more details about job requirements, courtesy of Persona Central:

Qualification Requirements

  • Work experience as a CG designer or programmer.

  • Good communication skills and flexibility in developing with multiple people.

  • Can work 5 days a week for a long term.

  • Interested in TA work

  • Interested in Unreal Engine 4 development

  • Interested in creating using MAYA plugins

  • Likes the Persona series

  • *Experience with 3DCG tolls is also welcomed

According to SMT V Producer Kazuyuki Yamai, the use of Unreal Engine 4 streamlined development greatly.
