Nintendo’s Q1 2021 financial report has been released, with brand new information all around. First and foremost, the Nintendo Switch (including Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite) have sold over 61 Million units worldwide, surpassing the total sales of the NES. This quarter, 5.68 Million units were sold, which is a very strong showing for Nintendo.

A lot of sales data for the various Nintendo titles have been updated as well, which is what we’ll dive into next. The list of top sellers for the Switch was updated, which you can check out below. Animal Crossing sold over 10 million copies in the past three months alone, putting the game at an astonishing 22.40 Million copies sold.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 26.74 million copies
Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 22.40 million copies
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 19.99 million copies
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 18.60 million copies
    Pokémon Sword/Pokémon Shield – 18.22 million copies

Another big tidbit we learned was that Ring Fit Adventure, Nintendo’s unique, original fitness IP has sold over 4 Million copies since its release back in October of last year. Ring Fit has been hard to keep in stock, with Nintendo mentioning that, so it’s nice to see it selling so well.

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics has sold over 1.03 Million copies since its release on June 5th, and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition has sold over 1.32 Million copies since May 29th. Both incredibly strong showings for these games.
