The PlayStation 4 continues to be a rousing success for Sony. The console surpasses 112 million units in worldwide shipments as of June 30th according to Sony’s recent financials report. 1.9 million PS4 units were shipped in the 3-month period ending on June 30th, which shows a decrease from 3.2 million during the same time a year ago. This is most likely due to waning interest in the PS4 as the PS5 approaches this holiday.
