Mafia: Definitive Edition, which was originally scheduled to release on August 28th. Will be pushed back to nearly a month to September 25th. Both 2K Games and Hangar 13 announced in a joint statement.
“Though we’d originally planned to release the game one month earlier on August 28, finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience,” the developer stated.
The silver lining in all of this is that the delay is only a month, and with the current circumstances happening around the world right now. It’s a decision that should be applauded. As not only will it protect those working on the game from being at risk, but will, in turn, give us the best quality product.
