Tencent has opened a new studio in Los Angeles called Lightspeed Studio to develop an open world game for PS5 and Xbox Series X. This is a huge endeavor for the company and with it comes big talent. This studio is led by former GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 studio director/manager Steve Martin. In addition, the studio includes talent from Rockstar Games, Insomniac and Respawn. Martin pledges to create a “crunch-free and inclusive culture” at the new studio. Here’s what Martin had to say:
