The Game Awards has been an annual staple of the gaming industry, bringing lots of hype and celebration for games. Unfortunately, this year’s show in December could be impacted by coronavirus. As a result, Geoff Keighley has stated that multiple contingency plans are in the works, including a digital-only event. Here’s the excerpt courtesy of VentureBeat:

“We are going to produce the show this year in December. 99% of our audience is digital around the world. It has been 5,000 people gathering in a physical place. But I am realistic that you have to have backup scenarios.”

The Game Awards 2020 airs this December. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest gaming news and updates!
