    Switch hardware sales doubled year-over-year in March 2020, marking a new all time record in hardware sales since March 2017 and highest first quarter since the DS

    Even with the coronavirus outbreak, Nintendo has proven that they reach massive success with games and hardware. According to the NPD and VentureBeat, Switch hardware sales doubled year-over-year in March 2020. This marks a new all time record for hardware sales since March 2017 with the launch of the Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In addition, this is the highest first quarter for hardware sales since the DS in 2010. This is followed by the monumental success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
