SEGA has released more new information for Yakuza: Like a Dragon! Dragon Kart is a Play Spot where Ichiban may race around Yokohama and participate in Grand Prix tournaments. Here are all the new details, courtesy of Gematsu:
Dragon Kart
The Dragon Kart PlaySpot is new to the Yakuza series, allowing Ichiban to enter wild kart races in Yokohama and even Kamurocho. Grand Prix tournaments are available, finishing one will unlock a higher level Grand Prix and so on. Karts may be upgraded in order to stand a chance in the highest level Grand Prix tournaments.
Dragon Kart has its own side story in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Near Hamahita Park, a man named Fujisawa will talk to Ichiban and recommend trying out Dragon Kart. Ichiban learns about the excitement of Dragon Kart by racing in it himself, attracting competition and rivals as he progresses.
Various mechanics may come into play in different courses. Jump ramps, explosion barrels and dart zones will provide interesting situations while racing at high speeds.
Karts may be upgraded with money to increase stats such as acceleration, top speed and more. Time Attack mode is present when connected to PSN. Rewards are given out every day based on rankings in Time Attack. Lastly, Ichiban may collect rings (yes, Sonic rings) while racing and redeem them for items.
