Minecraft Bedrock Edition hits PS4 consoles tomorrow December 10th

A new version of Minecraft for the PS4 has been popping up at various retailers that looks very similar to the version that comes on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Today, the PlayStation Blog officially announced that the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft would be coming to the PlayStation 4 on December 10th.

Allowing cross play between Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, and mobile platforms, the Bedrock Edition will also bring PlayStation 4 players access to the Minecraft store where they can buy alternate skins, mini-games, and even full worlds using Mine Coins. Players have anxiously been waiting for this update to hit the PS4 ever since the Bedrock Edition released for just about every other platform earlier this year.

Update 1.14 (officially titled “Buzzy Bees”) will bring this functionality to all players and allow players on every system to build and explore together. Also please note – if you already have Minecraft for the PlayStation 4, Buzzy Bees is a FREE update. Just boot up your system and update the game when it goes live.
