EA Releases New Mass Effect Merch for N7 Day

A strange celebration, considering BioWare's closure two weeks ago.

EA has released new merch for the Mass Effect franchise, to commemorate the upcoming “N7 Day” that will take place on November 7. The new announcement comes just a few weeks after EA closed BioWare and cancelled the next Mass Effect game.

The main new addition to the merch is a new N7 Wearable LED Helmet. It is available to order now for $174.99. It also includes new N7 Sneakers, a beanie, a new shirt based on Garrus Vakarian, and more. There are also re-stocks for older Mass Effect merch available on the BioWare Gear Store. Several sales for pre-existing merch are also now live. Check out the trailer showcasing the new Mass Effect Wearable LED Helmet below:

Recently, an article from Jason Schreier of Bloomberg revealed that EA shut down BioWare and cancelled the next Mass Effect in order to fund Star Wars Battlefront III. He also noted that Star Wars Battlefront III has not started development yet. The next entry in Mass Effect would have reportedly been titled Mass Effect Universe. The last update BioWare offered on the new Mass Effect is that it was in early development. In previous years, it has released new concept art on N7 Day. A Mass Effect TV series is still in development at Amazon Prime Video.

In addition, Respawn and DICE are reportedly developing the next entry in the Battlefront franchise. The final entry in the Star Wars Jedi series, as well as the Iron Man game at Motive, are also in development. BioWare’s most recent and seemingly final game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
