Square Enix has launched a new collaboration event between mobile roguelite RPG Dragon Quest Smash/Grow and Dragon Quest IV. The collaboration event also runs alongside the Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Half Anniversary Celebration and release of a new equipment set.
The Dragon Quest IV crossover event will run through December 15 (UTC), allowing Dragon Quest Smash/Grow players to encounter iconic characters from the game and earn Ally Blessings, which are special skills that summon theme mid-stage to aid the party. New Memoria Skills will be added in a future update during the event period. Memoria Skills activate when players raise a Character Memory to Rank S and equip it in a ★-marked slot whose color matches the Memory’s own color. When Character Memories are raised to Rank S, players can call upon heroes from Dragon Quest IV to aid them even after the events ends.
To celebrate the game’s half anniversary, all players will receive special login bonuses through December 15, including up to 5,000 free gems. A special promotion will also boost Adventurer Rank EXP and gold coins earned by completing certain stages through November 4. The Adventurer Rank EXP boost is limited to players with an Adventurer Rank of 29 or below.
In addition, Zenithian Set equipment has also been added featuring the Zenithian Sword, which comes with the Coup de Grâce “Zenithian Strike.” Zenithian Strike is a soaring slice that cuts through nearby enemies and deals physical wind damage. It also includes the Enchantment “Zenithian Blast,” which unleashes six wind-infused blasts for every 10th mighty strike.
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow launched on April 21 worldwide for Android via Google Play Store and iOS via App Store.
