Koei Tecmo and Gust have confirmed that the “body shape change” feature for Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories will be implemented following fan feedback from the game’s user survey. The survey had more than 38,000 responses in total from Atelier fans.
The body shape change feature can be toggled on and off in Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories. When toggled on, Karia’s body shape will change as she gains fat from eating snacks. Players can also lock Karia at a preferred body shape of their choice so that further eating will not change it.
In addition, the Dark Girly, Gothic Lolita, and Visual Key inspired style costumes will be implemented into the game, and there will be a new special short story based on the theme selected in the game’s survey, Karia goes on a food tour. Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories launches February 25, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders for the Premium Box edition are now available in the NIS America Online Store. The NISA store listing confirms that the physical release is a Game-Key Card title on Nintendo Switch 2.
