Iam8bit has announced a new Anniversary Edition reissue of its The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time “Hero of Time” 2xLP. It is available to order via iam8bit, Light in the Attic, Materia Collective, and participating retailers.
Each storefront has a different variant of the $42.99 2xLP. Iam8bit’s vinyls are printed on “Translucent Link Green & Zelda Violet,” the retail versions are printed on a “Navi Blue vinyl,” while the Light in the Attic and Materia Collective variants are printed on “Blue Clouds and Violet Clouds vinyl, inspired by the ever-changing cycles of the Hyrule sky.” All versions come with album art by Ryan Brinkerhoff, an Ocarina cutout on the packaging, a Gold Foil stamped tri-force on the back, and a special anniversary obi strip for The Legend of Zelda series’ 40th anniversary.
The store page further outlines the reissue:
iam8bit & Materia Collective are ecstatic to present Hero of Time, a one-hour arrangement album based on Koji Kondo’s dynamic, epic and absolutely gorgeous score to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Recorded by the 64-player Slovak National Symphony Orchestra for this very album, Hero of Time breathes new life into the classic Ocarina of Time score, previously only available via its Nintendo 64 sound chip origins.
The album is arranged & composed by Eric Buchholz, a maestro of video game concert tours across the globe, including The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony (plus the bonus CD that shipped with Skyward Sword!!), The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, and many more.
This album was recorded LIVE at Studio 1 in Bratislava by the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra and was specially mastered for vinyl by the trusted experts at Infrasonic.
Lastly, as part of the ongoing anniversary, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will launch on November 5 for Nintendo Switch 2. It will release digitally for $59.99 and physically for $69.99. Pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are now open in the Nintendo eShop (27 GB estimated file size for digital).
