Best Buy stores will also have a limited number of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 systems and controllers for attendees, even after its release on October 29. In addition, the store has posted the following “preparation tips” for fans:

Here’s everything gamers need to know ahead of the release:

    • Take advantage of in-store pickup: Nearly all U.S. stores will open Nov. 5 at midnight ET — that means 11 p.m. CT, 10 p.m. MT and 9 p.m. PT on Nov. 4. Use our store locator tool to find the closest location to you.
    • How to pick up: Already selected pickup for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time? Customers can visit a store during our late-night opening to grab their pre-orders. Customers will receive an email with the option to switch to store pickup.

Recently, Nintendo held a The Legend of Zelda Direct, in which it announced that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will launch on November 5 for Nintendo Switch 2 digitally for $59.99 and physically for $69.99. Pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are now open in the Nintendo eShop (27 GB estimated file size for digital), and there will be new Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo that will introduce two new masks for Link. The direct also highlighted the remake’s new visual style and quality-of-life changes.
