AMATA Games and Studio Gauntlet have announced that SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding will release on October 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The “minimalist freeriding game” is already available for PC via Steam, which initially launched on February 17, 2025.

AMATA Games released a trailer to announce the console versions:

The Steam store page provides this description:

SNØ is a simple game about downhill skiing. Carve your way down procedurally generated mountainscapes and try to score as many points as possible by pulling off high-risk proximity maneuvers and tricks. Mastering the controls and terrain is key to achieving high scores, making every run a test of skill and flow.

SNØ offers endless procedural mountains to explore. Choose whether you want to chase the top spots on the leaderboards, or just enjoy the ride in Zen mode.

Message from the creators:

SNØ is made in Norway by two people. We designed it to capture the essence of downhill skiing in a minimalistic and playful way. SNØ is perfect for short gameplay sessions, focusing on rewarding gameplay systems, instant action and smooth controls.

Special message to all Steamdeck users:

We have optimized SNØ for the Steamdeck. The game runs at 60-90 FPS on High quality settings. Enjoy.
