Blizzard has announced Diablo V, the next entry in the beloved franchise, which will release at some point in 2029. The developers will reveal more details about the game later today 1:45 PM PDT via BlizzCon.

For three decades, Sanctuary has stood on the edge of oblivion, and we’ve managed to push the darkness back… until now. The next era of Diablo is now in development.
Revealed during the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony, Diablo V takes players into a Sanctuary that has fallen. The heroes are gone, and Diablo has won.

Diablo IV, the most recent entry in the franchise, is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It will release for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15. The Steam page describes the game as follows:
