The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Tsutomu’s Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki (Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things) manga revealed the anime’s new theme songs. A new trailer was also released to preview the theme songs and reveal new cast members.
Yūsei Yagi performs the opening theme song “LIKE³,” and Kaori Maeda performs the ending theme song “Tōtoi♡Kaiwai (Precious Neighborhood).”
The new cast members include:
- Kaori Maeda as Rio Shigeoka
- Miharu Hanai as Mirai Usuma
- Satoshi Niwa as Haruo Koba
- Mie Sonozaki as Hoho Takebayashi
Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things will premiere on October 4 at 10:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, followed by BS Asahi and YTV on October 5 and AT-X on October 8. Crunchyroll will stream the anime.

Tomoe Makino is directing the anime at studio LIDEN FILMS. Yū Satō is in charge of series compositions, and Tomomi Kimura is the character designer. Takamasa Nakakuki is the art director, Akira Hashigami is the color key artist, Tomoya Hosaka is the director of photography, and Kiyomi Yamada is the editor. Fumihiko Ōtera is the sound director, Arisa Okehazama is the composer, and Magic Capsule is credited for sound production. YTE is credited for music production, and FUTOKOROGATANA is credited for music production assistance.
The Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki manga series is being serialized on Flex Comics’ COMIC Polaris website since 2017. The 13th and final volume will release on October 15 in Japan. The series inspired a five-episode TV drama series, which premiered on Japanese TV networks in August 2020.
