PlayStation and Housemarque have revealed the free update for SAROS, titled Zenith, which will release later this year. The update will add New Game Plus and the Boss Rush mode titled Overlord Rush.
The trailer’s description outlines the Zenith update for SAROS:
SAROS: Zenith adds Overlord Rush, a brand new mode where you can take on the powerful Overlord enemies from the main game back-to-back, go for a high score, and compete with players around the world using integrated leaderboards in a throwback to the classic arcade-style Housemarque is known for.
This update also brings “Eclipse Layers”, a new game+ mode which allows seasoned enforcers to put their skills to the ultimate test. After clearing SAROS, players can return to the beginning and take on a more challenging version of the game. You can rise to meet these trials with even more progression options and new Carcosan Modifiers to customize your experience. There are also new secrets and trophies to discover as you delve deeper into the Eclipse Layers.
New accessibility features, including High-Contrast visuals, gyro aiming with the DualSense wireless controller, and the toggleable “Slow Game Speed” option have been added. With these options, even more players can experience the spectacular bullet-ballet action of SAROS for themselves.

SAROS is available now on PlayStation 5. The game features the likes of Rahul Kohli as the protagonist in a mix of fast-paced roguelike action and cosmic horror. Final Weapon reviewed SAROS and gave it a 4.5/5. We described it as a “fantastic experience from beginning to end.”
