Bandai Namco Filmworks has announced that part 2 of Studio Pierrot’s original anime Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly will premiere on October 4 at 10:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. The anime will also air on ABC TV, TV Aichi, BS NTV, and AT-X in Japan.
What’s more, two new cast members were revealed:
- Yusuke Shirai as Mucchi
- Yūko Natsuyoshi as Shiromofu
K-pop girl group ILLIT returns to perform the new opening theme song “Swingin’ Magic,” and the in-story idol unit Lulutto Lilly performs the new ending theme song “Dream a la Mode.”
Miyari Nemoto will join the anime’s cast as Asahi Araki.
The first part of the Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly anime premiered on April 5. Bandai Namco Filmworks is also streaming Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly with English subtitles on YouTube and Tubi in select regions, including the U.S. and Canada.
ILLIT performs the opening theme song “Bubee.” Lulutto Lilly performs the ending theme song “Calling.” Lulutto Lilly consists of main characters Lilly Konpeto (voiced by May Tachibana) and Lulu Mashū (voiced by Nao Ojika).

Shintarō Dōge is directing the Magical Sisters Lulutto Lily anime at Studio Pierrot and is credited for the original character designs. Yūko Kakihara supervises and writes the series scripts. Namiko Tori, Hirono Nishiki, and Asami Sodeyama are the character designers.

The story of the anime focuses on the aforementioned Nonoyama sisters, who have grown a little distant recently. One day, Fū encounters a spaceship and gains magical powers, and Rui also gains magical powers as a result. They both transform into the adults they dream of being, but there are two conditions: the magic can only be used for one year, and it must be kept a secret. The pair become idols, all while keeping their secrets from each other.
