New Battle Spirits Anime Premieres October 6

The official website for Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Kū, the new anime series in Bandai’s Battle Spirits franchise, released a brand-new trailer, key visual, additional cast members, and the anime’s October 6 release date. The trailer previews the opening theme song “Here we are!” by JAM Project. Himegoto will perform the ending theme song “Pulse.”

The newly announced cast includes:

• Hiro Shimono as Ibuki Mizuha
• Mariya Ise as Yui Kusumoto
• Yasuhiro Mamiya as Suiboku Bashin
• Nana Mizuki as Mine Kusumoto
• Megu Umezawa as Shie Anpachi
• Akira Ishida as Jinzan Takasugi
• Daisuke Ono as Ryо̄ga Sakamoto
• Jun Fukuyama as Kakeru Magi
• Shizuka Miyano (CANDY TUNE) as Shizu
• Miyuki Satō as Fukumaru
• Junichi Suwabe as Narrator

Previously announced cast members include Taichi Kusano, who stars as Kū Bashin, and Daiki Hamano as Zetsu Ajara. Masashi Kudo, known for his work on Terminator Zero, is directing the anime at Bandai Namco Pictures and is also credited with the original character designs. Toshizo Nemoto is in charge of the series scripts. Bandai Namco Pictures is also credited with planning the production.

Bandai launched the original Battle Spirits card game in 2008. Within the game, cards represent creatures like dragons, demons, birds, insects, and others. Players can control these spirits in battle. The most recent game in the multimedia franchise, Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers, released in 2022. In the past, numerous anime adaptations for the series have premiered.
