Cygames has opened pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising in the Nintendo eShop. The Legendary Edition of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will launch on September 17 for $49.99 with the platform-exclusive Gyro Versus mode for Nintendo Switch 2, the Super Ultimate+ control scheme and Chain Attacks from the Version 2.60 update, and additional bonuses.

Pre-orders and early purchases of the Legendary Edition will also include the bonus character costume Reverent Attire for Sandalphon, which he can don in battle or in the Figure Studio. This purchase bonus is available until 6:59 a.m., Jan. 12, 2027 (PT), and is planned to be sold separately after the purchase bonus period has ended.
The Legendary Edition will also be made available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
New Gyro Versus Mode and System Mechanics
Coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of GBVSR, Gyro Versus is a new mode that allows players to perform combos and abilities by shaking their Joy-Con or Joy-Con 2, giving anyone the chance to indulge in the rush of battle no matter their skill level. Gyro Versus will only be playable in Versus Mode on the Nintendo Switch 2 version of GBVSR.
Additionally, two new system mechanics, Chain Attack and Super Ultimate+, will be added to GBVSR with the Version 2.60 update. Chain Attacks are a useful tool that will provide players with more combo opportunities. Super Ultimate+ is a unique control scheme where players can experience powerful versions of characters that far exceed their standard capabilities, adding a distinct twist to battle.
Standard and Deluxe Editions of GBVSR on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Steam will have access to the new system mechanics with the release of the Version 2.60 update on Sept. 17. Additional Character Set (Id) will be sold separately.
Battle Locally with the Nintendo Switch 2 Version
Using the Local Communication capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2, players can set up local matches with nearby friends without the need for an internet connection. Fight anytime, anywhere, with any character! With cross-play support, players can also test their mettle against challengers in Ranked or Casual matches on other platforms or come together in Grand Bruise! for a round of fun party games (separate subscription fee to access online features may apply). Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok Save Data Link Bonus Details

Id Merchandise Available for Pre-Order
Celebrate Id’s debut in GBVSR with brand-new merchandise! The lineup features a large acrylic stand and an adorable key chain of Mr. Fix-Id himself, as well as an acrylic stand of Sandalphon in his Reverent Attire. To commemorate the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of GBVSR, past merch lineups will also be made available for pre-order on CyStore.
