The Pokémon Company and Niantic have announced that the newest season of Pokémon GO, dubbed Twilight Trails, will launch on September 8 with new Pokémon, more Mega-Evolved Pokémon, a new GO Pass and more.

Mega Staraptor, Mega Chandelure, and more Mega-Evolved Pokémon will become available during Twilight Trails, and a Mega Squads event will cap off Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale.

In addition, the new GO Pass for Twilight Trails will feature Pass Tasks that grant you GO Points. Increase your rank, and you’ll earn rewards from the GO Pass. The paid GO Pass Deluxe will also be available with upgrade rewards and faster progression.

There will also be Major Milestones that unlock bonuses that last until the current GO Pass ends. Bonuses include increased XP from hatching eggs, additional Candy for trading Pokémon and increased limits when receiving, opening and storing Gifts.

Max Pokémon like Dynamax Rhyhorn, Dynamax Sneasel, Dynamax Sizzlipede and more will appear in Max Battles throughout Twilight Trails. What’s more, Dynamax Uxie, Dynamax Mesprit, and Dynamax Azelf will appear in a Max Battle Day event.

Maschiff, Mabosstiff and other Pokémon from the Paldea region in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games will appear during Twilight Trails. Players can catch them and add them to an ever-growing collection.

Pokémon GO is available on Android and iOS, and more details about the new season can be found on the official blog.
