Paradox Interactive, Iceflake Studios, and The LEGO Group revealed LEGO Skylines at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. The new city-building game will deliver a LEGO brick take on the genre for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
LEGO Skylines encourages players to build cities that are both beautiful and functional. Players will start with a single plot on which they can build their first house, which will eventually grow into a neighborhood. The world will evolve as the community eventually grows into a large city. LEGO Skylines also promises to provide players with many customization options to create unique cities.
“First, cover the basics like roads, electricity, food, and water to make your city run smoothly. Then, make it a place your citizens love. Add cozy homes for them to return to after work, green parks where they can unwind, quirky stores stocked with their favorite goods, and well-equipped hospitals to keep everyone in one piece.”
Fredrik Löving, Global Head of GAME at the Lego Group, said the goal was to make a city-building game that is considered to be among the best in the genre.
“Whether players dream of building a bustling metropolis, a quirky seaside town, or something nobody has imagined before, LEGO Skylines gives them the creative freedom and depth to make it happen,” Löving said.
