Artist Eru Kudō has revealed that the There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless… manga second part will release in early 2027. The announcement comes after the final chapter of the manga adaptation released on July 31.
Kudō will draw the manga under the title of Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Naijan, Muri Muri! Muri Janakatta!? ~Second Season. It will launch in either January or February 2027. Earlier this year, REMOW started streaming the There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine~ anime on YouTube, which covers episodes 13 to 17 of the Watanare series. There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine~ opened on November 21, 2025 in Japanese theaters, and the anime made its U.S. premiere at Anime Frontier 2025, which took place from December 12 to 14, 2025 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas. The cast unit Quintet performs the anime’s theme song “Dear My Special Precious Marvelous Sweet Darlings.”
There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… premiered on July 7 and ran for 12 episodes, and the series is streaming on YouTube, Plex and other platforms. Akari Nanawo performed the opening theme song “Muri Muri Evolution (The Impossible Theory of Evolution),” and Philosophy no Dance performed the ending theme song “Mayocchauwa (I’m Confused).”
