RS34 has announced that it will release Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order in Japan in January 2027 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with a Steam release following in March 2027. A crowdfunding campaign on Campfire begins on August 8.

The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise 2.5 million yen, with a stretch goal of 2.8 million yen for the PC version. Physical versions will be available for both PlayStation 5 and Switch, with digital releases for both platforms as well as PlayStation 4. The “Bird’s View Edition” for 12,800 yen comes with the game, a bonus CD, an artbook, an acrylic stand, and four postcards.
The PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available both physically and digitally, while the PlayStation 4 version will be a digital-only release. A limited “Bird’s View Edition” will also be available for 12,800 yen, which includes a copy of the game, bonus CD, 36-page art book, four postcards, and an acrylic stand.
Karous: The Blur of Re:venant – New Order is a remake of Nintendo 3DS game Karous: The Beast of Re:Eden which will add new features and new characters. It is a shoot-’em-up with progression via leveling up as the game continues. RS34 released Karous on January 22 for PC via Steam. The game originally released in 2007 for Dreamcast and arcades. At the moment, it is unknown if the remake will release in other regions outside of Japan.
