Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara magazine and Comic Fuz website have announced that Afro’s Laid-Back Camp and mono manga series will be going on hiatus. Afro will be taking a hiatus due to their health worsening from the stress associated with serializing the Laid-Back Camp and mono manga at the same time. Both manga will return at a later date, with more details to be announced by their respective editors.
In the meantime, Laid-Back Camp Season 4 is planned to premiere in 2027.
The returning cast members include:

- Nao Tōyama as Rin Shima
- Sayuri Hara as Chiaki Ōgaki
- Aki Toyosaki as Aoi Inuyama
- Rie Takahashi as Ena Saitō
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Ayano Toki
- Maria Sashide as Ema Mizunami
- Kokoa Amano as Mei Nakatsugawa
- Akio Ōtsuka as Narrator
Shin Tosaka returns to direct the new season at FuRyu Pictures, replacing 8-Bit from the previous season. Pierre Sugiura is in charge of series scripts and Ryūta Ura is the new character designer. Additionally, Akiyuki Tateyama returns as the composer and Takeshi Takadera returns as the sound director. Artists Asaka and Eri Sasaki will perform the fourth season’s opening and ending theme songs respectively. Further, the band Kiminone will perform the theme song.
The first three seasons of Laid-Back Camp, the Laid-Back Camp movie, and the mono anime are available now to stream on Crunchyroll.

Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she’s forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it’s night, in a place she’s never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin.
