The official website for To You in Beyond, the new anime film based on Akiko Abe’s Doko Yori mo Tooi Basho ni Iru Kimi e novel, revealed the trailer, key visual, theme song and additional cast members. The trailer previews and reveals the theme song “Olive” by Tota.
The film will air in Japan on October 9. The international release date for the anime will be revealed at a later time.
The newly announced cast members include:
- Sumire Uesaka as Tamaki Mishima
- Wataru Hatano as Shо̄ji Aiba
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Akimitsu Yamu
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yoshiki Suga
Previously announced cast members include:
- Hiiro Ishibashi as the protagonist Kazuki Tsukigase
- Anna Nagase as Nao Akishika
- Simba Tsuchiya as Mikiya Ozaki
- Hiroshi Tamaki as Kōzu
- Naohito Fujiki as Nishina
Junichi Wada is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, and Sayaka Kuwamura wrote the screenplay. Hechima is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Kōji Nakamura is composing the music. Shochiku is distributing the film.
Akiko Abe and Shueisha initially released the original light novel in 2017. A manga adaptation released in 2025.
