Kadokawa has confirmed that news about the upcoming sequel work to the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya – Licht Nameless Girl anime film will be revealed on July 20 at 6:00 p.m. JST.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya – Licht Nameless Girl originally opened in August 2021 across several theaters in Japan. The sequel was announced shortly after the theatrical release, and further details were scarce for nearly three years following the sequel’s key visual reveal in August 2023 at Kadokawa’s Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 10th anniversary event.
The key visual for the sequel work was completed by chief animation director Kazuya Hirata, color designer Manami Yamaguchi, background artist Yūki Shinjō, and Chiptune photographer Sei Yamamoto.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya – Licht Nameless Girl is available to stream on HIDIVE and Prime Video in select regions. The streamed version is based on the home video release, and Amazon users may purchase a Blu-ray version of Licht Nameless Girl. Fans may watch the entire movie with Japanese voice-overs and English subtitles.
The original Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya manga was in serialization for Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine from 2007 to 2008. After a seven-month hiatus, mangaka Hiroshi Hiroyama resumed the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Drei!! manga this past June.
