According to a report from ZDNET Korea, Samsung is reportedly planning to supply screens for an upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 OLED. Said product may go into production later this year.
Currently, Samsung is planning to supply OLED screens to Nintendo for a Nintendo Switch 2 revision. The beginning of development is seemingly dependent on how much these screens would affect the price of the Switch 2 OLED, as Nintendo is also aiming to lower manufacturing costs across the board. However, if development does start this year, it is possible that it will release either in late 2027 or early 2028. The reports come just a few months after Nintendo announced it would increase the price of the Nintendo Switch 2.
The next major game releasing for the Nintendo Switch 2 is Splatoon Raiders, releasing on July 22. Splatoon Raiders will take players to the Spirhalite Islands, which feature varied terrain, environments, and treasures. The protagonist, a mechanic and pilot of the ship that Deep Cut were using to excavate as much loot as possible, will have to collect Mega Power Eggs, Spirhalite Crystals, and other relics on their journey.

Every time you go on a raid, you can keep the weapons you find. You will also level up, and use the crafting tools you discover to craft weapons and gadgets with the help of Deep Cut. Splatoon Raiders is now available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop. The listing confirms that it will cost $49.99 digitally and $59.99 physically. Additionally, two Joy-Con 2 controllers themed around Raiders, as well as Amiibo, will be available alongside the game’s release.
