Cygames has announced that Project Awakening, Lost Order, and Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary are still in development. New updates were offered for each of the game.
Company president Koichi Watanabe stated the following about Project Awakening stating that “Development…is, of course, steadily progressing. What I can say at the moment is that it is ‘really starting to take shape.’ Everyone on the team is working each day with a real sense of confidence that things are coming together.” Cygames initially announced the action RPG in 2016, before re-revealing it in 2021. While the style of the game has largely remained intact, Watanabe mentions that some changes have been made.
In regards to Lost Order, a mobile real-time tactics game, Watanabe revealed that “This one is also deep in development, and is now entering the final stretch…We’ve rebuilt everything from scratch since the closed beta test [in 2017], including the character models. It’s still in development, so the quality is only going to improve going forward.”
Finally, Watanabe stated the following about Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary, initially revealed in 2021: “Development on that one is moving forward as well, and I think we’ll be able to deliver something unlike our other titles. It’s one of the major titles we’re developing, and I think we’ll be able to announce something in due time.” He also confirmed that the games revealed at Cygames NEXT 2016 remains its priority, though, it is preparing new games for development as well.
Lastly, Cygames will release GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink – Endless Ragnarok on July 9 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
