Silver Lining Interactive has announced that the standard physical edition of Absolum will release for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch on September 17. A special edition for Switch and PS5 is available to order now.
The standard edition will cost $49.99 and includes a digital soundtrack. Further, in the case of Nintendo Switch/Switch 2, it will be available entirely in a full cartridge rather than a game-key card. The special edition is only available in PEGI rating and costs £59.99 (or approximately $80). It includes 4 exclusive metal pins, a full-color art booklet, “poster-quality artwork,” and 4 character trading cards.
Absolum is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. An animated series adaptation for Absolum is in development. Lastly, the Steam page describes the game as follows:
Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat ’em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.
Talamh has been shattered by a magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
As Azra’s forces claim more and more lands, the high enchantress Uchawi and a small group of rebels rise from the shadows, wielding forbidden magic to challenge his oppressive regime and defy his absolute magic power.
