Fans who don’t want to wait can catch the 4K restoration of Ninja Scroll, the 1993 anime film written and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, in a limited theatrical release on October 4, 5, and 7 across the U.S. and Canada. The digital 4K restoration is spearheaded, remastered and produced by Sentai with supervision by Kawajiri himself. According to Sentai, the process involved a 4K scan (3840 × 2160 pixels) of the original 35mm negative, then repairing any damage and lastly performing color correction to create an archival quality digital master of the film.
Fans will have the chance to own the 4K version of Ninja Scroll when Sentai releases the limited edition Blu-ray SteelBook in 4K UHD in early 2027.
